It 's Finally Over

After more than a year of merry time with Teacher Angel, we had finally graduated with much joy and pride from 'The Village'. All the babies have have come into their own and moving on. Now at 18th months old, it's time for us to move on too.

It was here we met and still keeping some wonderful friendships. This fellowship of babies and mummies has turned out to be one of the best things in my mommyhood journey. This wonderful group of first time mommies. We double date. We share notes. We meet and talk and laugh. And best of all, we love all the babies.

It is with a tinge of regret that we had to miss your last Thursday lesson as you were not well. But it was a blessing we got to end your 'Village 'with your chummy friend- Trudy on a make up class. We started and ended Village's with her and Auntie Lina.

Life is really like a box of chocolates, you never know what you 'll get!

More of Marshy!

You are coming into your own now. Still my fun loving Marshy. You love having fun and are blessing Daddy and I with your continuous peals of merry laughter.

We are on a constant diet of chuckles, giggles and tickles. We love the tickle monster game. I would carry you and say: I am hungry. Can mommy eats you? And you would shake your head vigorously and go: No no no! and I would pretend to eat you by planting many many kisses all over you . You love it and we laugh and laugh and laugh.

You are always trying to make us laugh. It is always immensely amusing to see you groove, dance and sing. You show us your pig pig face by scrunching your pretty face together and raise your eyebrows like the calbury's advertisement with a cheeky grin.

My world comes to a standstill when you laugh. Your expansive and infectious laughter.

This is the little girl my heart beats for.

My mischievous little girl.

This what you learnt at Zoophonics: A-ll-i-gator.... Aihhh

LoHei

Our family folks continue to usher in the New Year simply by gathering again for one more dinner before the festival ends. So this year,we went to the Pine Valley's restaurant at the Laguna Country Club for our traditional 'LoHei'.

It was your first "LoHei" with the folks. Meals together with the spolit Valerie, Vanness terror and tyrant Marshy means no peace. It's a blend of wistfulness, innocence and noisy bantering.

Jolly banter aplenty. ANd there never seems to have enough time when you are having fun.

The doting grandparents.

Mama, let me order, ok?

Preparation work for the'LoHei'.

Seriously 'LoHei Ing'.

Look how focused you are with the pair of chopsticks.

This is cool! Another round?

My Barbie Baby

I think I had mentioned before that your daddy loves to buy you clothes. He'll jump at all chances to buy you clothes and more clothes. So this Chinese New Year, 2010, the daddy is happily busying around getting you this season's fashion. And Marshy, your fleshy shoulders and rosy tinge on your cheeks did justice to these dresses by looking awesomely pretty! My beautiful and still bubblegummy baby.

You are our own Barbie Doll.

My daddy & my barney cake

The doting Daddy came home with a Barney cake one day. For No occasion. Just because his precious loves Barney so. And my Marshy had a big silly smile on her face the whole night. The big broad beaming kind. Almost as big as the moon. Cant stop Ogle ling at her cake.

So we had our own little Nobody's birthday celebration. With lited candle as well. Just for Marshy to blowout happily with the silly smile on her face. Daddy's girl, alright.

Such a happy happy evening.

My Baby is on Strike

I cannot belive you are on a milk strike. You have always been a milk junkie. Many people told me that it is part of a toddler's early growing years. Is this what they call a toddler's transition? Whatever it is, I am not liking it. It's frustrating and kind of scary because I want you to grow and get all the nutrients you need. Like all mummies, I worry. For your calcium intake.

Are you bored of the taste or are you just being controlling? Hard to tell. But after 2 days of milk battle with you, I know it is no good to force the issue because I am always the loser.

We need to make peace.

I hope this is going to be a temporary strike and and goes away soon. And I have to remember to keep my cool.

Too many meltdowns, too little milk.

I am on a mission now to crack my head on how to coax milk into your diet.

You name it, I did it.

Yucks!

This moo moo milk looks interesting.

Let me give it a try.

Mmmm. Not bad.

Let me see if it is organic.

Let me taste again..

Ummmmm.... Not too bad.

I'll make do with this.

Can I have more?
